New Liz cancer scare September 15, 2002 HOLLYWOOD veteran Elizabeth Taylor was treated 2 1/2 months ago for skin cancer and now appears to be free of the disease, her doctor said yesterday. The statement said Taylor, 70, had radiation therapy in June for basal cell carcinoma. Taylor had pneumonia two years ago, suffered a back injury the previous year, had a brain tumour removed in 1997, was treated for high blood pressure and an irregular heartbeat in 1995, and almost died of a respiratory illness in 1990.
