anyone read "Intuitive Eating" by Tribole and Resch?

Categories: Rectal Cancer

Question:

"Jayjay" wrote I searched and couldn’t find any mentions of this book for the last couple of years here.  Someone just recommended it to me and I was wondering if anyone here had read it and had any reactions?

If they don’t, they can probably get it for you through the interlibrary loan program.  It rocks! — Walking on . . . Laurie in Maine 207/110  60 inches of attitude! Start: 2/02  Maintained since 2/03

Yep, I read it.  It’s pretty well-written, and the authors know their field (although they are pretty immured in the FDA "food pyramid"–unsurprising, considering it was written several years ago, and that the authors are professional nutritionists). It’s worth reading, but for a more up-to-date and scholarly approach to nutrition, I suggest Walter Willett’s "Eat, Drink, and Be Healthy". T.

Put the title into a search engine and you’ll find it discounted all over the place.    It’s been out since 1996. Mike

After I look in here I kid of ‘wake up’ AGAIN and I find myslf. I like this way that i tells it with ‘his tuff luv’ and it IS reality !! Face myself in my mirror and look at the scale and than I FEEL control AGAIN! Hope everyone is doing well after the feast!! I have not gained :) I’m SHOCKED! BUT HAPPY!!!!!YES!!!!! glo

Fuhgeddaboudit.  Use the money toward a pair of cross trainers and start exercising.  The main problem today is that people put more food in their stomachs than they work off in exercise. Plus they aren’t healthy because they don’t exercise.  The #3 cancer killer is colo-rectal cancer and exercise helps prevent colo-rectal cancer according to a clinical study I heard of last month. If you’re worried about your eating, then do a food diary for about a month and let us know what you find out.

Patricia do you have ANY idea what you just said and what you just responded to.   The guy is trying to learn how to eat well and you are discouraging him from doing the research and learning on his own, instead you tell him to just exercise. Its not about the 1 hr of exercise you do a day, its about what you put into your body the other 23 hrs of the day! Take your blinders off honey.   stop being a total fucktard all the time

Did you know that in some people exercise can produce an allergic reaction? I am not kidding. — Diva ***** The Best Man for the Job May Be A Woman
