Just because someone said there is no effective therapy, I did a quick search of OncoLink. There are two treatments with some promise – one of which you have mentioned (althought it might not be the newest): http://oncolink.upenn.edu/pdq_html/cites/04/04581.html Efficacy of fludarabine, a new adenine nucleoside analogue, in patients with prolymphocytic leukemia and the prolymphocytoid variant of chronic lymphocytic leukemia RESULTS: Three patients (18%) achieved complete remission, and three (18%) had a partial remission, for an overall response rate of 35%. Responses were durable and occurred in all involved organ sites. http://oncolink.upenn.edu/pdq_html/cites/04/04535.html We describe the results of treatment with 2′-deoxycoformycin (DCF) in 68 patients with post-thymic (mature) T-cell malignancies. These included: prolymphocytic leukaemia (T-PLL),… We conclude that DCF is a useful therapy for the treatment of T-cell leukaemias, in particular Sezary syndrome and T-PLL, and should play a part in strategies to improve the natural history of this group of lymphoid malignancies. http://www.medinfo.org/listserv.html Best wishes to you and your friend. Your friend should indeed seek competent treatment; he and his family should treat this as a ‘Treath of Recall’ by God. We are all defective and will be recalled – I hope I die in a state of submission. Let me know if I can help.

And you, Gerry, are a TRUE JERK. If we had wanted to hear an asshole, I would have just farted. This is a support group, not a dickhead convention. Go back to your abnormal America bashing pursuits in alt.activ.death-pen and save a murderer or something. NOBODY is a DEAD DUCK! We all have hope. Keep on looking! Go down every blind alley. If there is not a "cure" available, then there may be trials, research. Nobody lives forever, but there is always a chance of living longer and happier. I was just wondering if others on this newsgroup found Gerry’s reply to be quite rude and in very poor taste? To the person who has sent out this cry for help I hope you do not lose faith in the humanity of the other members of this newsgroup due to one person’s idocy (sp?). M.
