Cat fight.
Question:
I have 3 cats. Fitz and Amanda whom are brother and sister. These two are litter mates and we have had them almost 1yr 6 mos. Three months ago we picked up whisper kitty. Who was an outdoor stray. After having her tested and gave he her shots it was soon kitty land as all three cats got along. Whisper and Fitz gleefuly scampered around the house. Having no end of fun. Amanda was happy too as Fitz no longer tormented her and tried to chase her around. This morning all that changed. I woke up to hear the 3 of them in the window sill making low growling sounds. Thinking a cat was on the porch I moved one of the cats to close the window. At this point I learned how much potentinal energy 3 cats have. With a fury of fur and claws they boiled around my bedroom. My wife atempting to stop the fight received 14 scratches some of them quite deep. She seemed to be the only one who suffered.. Now Whisper and the other 2 cats can not be let in the same area together. Any Ideas. Fitz has been fixed. Amanda and whisper will be fixed this week. Its hard to tell who the fight was between. Amanda is in afalse pregnecy. With infinity, probability becomes moot. Stormchaser
Response:
Ahhhh… late night cat fights. I have four cats, 1 female, 4 males. Males are fixed, female is not (all indoor cats, no danger of pregnancy and female is not one to go into annoying heat). When Nancy goes into heat… male cats get very territorial and fight with each other, regardless of the fact that they umm.. "can’t get it up" anymore. They still have a go at it and fight about who gets what when. Nancy is a flirt and usually starts it. I would guess that is the cause for the fighting. They are maturing and becoming sexual predators! Good luck

While there is no danger of your female getting pregnant, she is at a much higher risk for other problems like mammary and ovarian cancer. These are quite preventable by spaying her. Please check into it. Deb B — The internet is on computers now. Homer Simpson
