 The father of a very good friend of mine has Carcinoid tumours ofthe Liver and Stomach…They are suggesting a radiation treatment for him and as he was led to believethat nothing could be done for the last 8 months or so he is wary of trying it.  My friend is looking for any information on this subject and about the side-effects of radiation therapy in general…his father is about 70 years old and doesn’t understand the difference between Liver cancer and a Carcinoid tumor in the liver Write me and I will forward the info as he is not connected to the net. Dave, I know what your friend’s father is going through.  I am 29, and have carcinoid tumors in my liver for two years now.  I have been on chemotherapy for 1.6 years, and it worked well for a while.  You can find info at ONCOLINK, the U. of Penn. Oncology site on the WWW, also CANCERNET site.
