Tumors in Cats

Categories: Leukemia

Question:

Yes it does and thank  you very much.. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Hello! We had a very old cat once and she had a tumor on her ear.  Since she was so very old, we left her alone.  Probably if we had the veterinarian said that she would have died.  Obviously your kitty hasn’t had a problem with it being removed, but you might want to consider her age if you get it removed again. Hope I helped!! My cat has a tumor on her back. Four months ago the vet has removed it surgically. Now it has returned. Question is "Should we keep removing them (even though they are growing back)? She is 12 yrs old now.  I know the longer we wait the less her chances are.. However the vet has spelled out other options (neither of which sound good). They are Chemotherapy, more surgery, or to just leave it alone. He recommends that we leave it alone.. he also recommends that we discontinue her Leukemia booster shots. They may aggravate the growth.. She does not seem to be in any discomfort with it. She is just as playful as ever.. Are there any other alternatives (other than the one’s mentioned). We don’t know what to do.. I think we should have surgery; my wife thinks that we should leave it alone (based on her age and all).. Help!!
