Golden Thread Needlearts in East Rochester, NY is my destination. Their event is three days, with 15% off on Friday, 20% off on Saturday, and (surprise!) 25% off on Sunday. I’ll probably be there Saturday as that’s when I can find someone to watch my kids. (And we all know that S.E.X. is more enjoyable when the kids aren’t in the room!) My wonderful LNS is having a great superbowl sale, I can’t wait.  25% off all charts/buttons/kits $8 or more/ and more.  We also have stitchers night every Wed where we eat, stitch and talk.  If you are within driving distance it’s worth the trip.  CMC Needlework, Hadley Village Barn Shops, Hadley Ma. 413-585-5858. okay okay, time to put a stop to this NOW <vbeg.  Some of us don’t need to hear about the fabulous Super Bowl sales you’re going to gleefully participate in.  Some of us are unfortunate enough to live in other countries where the LNS’s, for some unknown reason, don’t celebrate the Super Bowl in such a manner. Unless others out there in Auckland are keen to join with me to mount an offensive on our local LNS’s this weekend to demand the same Alex

I just got a flyer from the Country Store in Fords, NJ saying that they were having a Super Bowl Sale (Sunday, 12-4).  I don’t know what the sale is (percent, etc.) but it’s good to know that the shop will be open.  The owner is having treatment for leukemia and the shop is being staffed by volunteers – may their stash never lessen! Cross Stitch Corner in Fort Worth, Texas is having their Super Bowl Sale on Saturday, January 30, 1999. Everything in the store is 25% off, including magnifiers!!! No affiliation at all, just an extremely happy customer. Angie from Texas
