Leukemia in dogs
Question:
last night my 8 1/2 yr. old Border Collie died.The first symptoms appeared only 4 days ago.The vet was shocked to find his wbc was 72000. A discussion with an oncology proffessor at U.of Guelph told us that ‘Toby’ would not live to see Christmas and might not live until Thurs. by which time my daughter could get here to say goodbye to our beloved dog.He was failing by the minute .I could not be witness to him fighting for each breath so we made the big decision and Toby Went to sleep at 7pm last night. We are devistated and want to know if anyone has heard of leukemia in dogs before. thank-you Jennifer

very sorry for the loss of your dog. I have heard of Leukemia as a frequent occurence in Great Danes. Again, Heal fast from your current loss. LOL…..May you Holiday bring you cheer.
