Bouquets for Team in Training
Question:
After the brickbats the Leukemia Soc. Team in Training got following this year’s Wildflower, I wanted to pass on a big bouquet for the 300 or so Team in Training participants in yesterday’s Triathalon at Pacific Grove and their coaches. The TinT coaches must have cleaned up the act that I saw at Wildflower and the PG participants seemed to know and follow the rules–no slow riders on the left, no (or just maybe one or two) groups riding along in a bunch talking , and they moved over promptly when the heard "On your left". So, not only was over a million dollars raised for the Leukemia Society, but 300 newbes learned that triathaon has rules and how to follow them.
Now if they could just keep all their hanger-oners out of the transition area. We (volunteers) spent entirely too much time asking non-athletes to leave the TA. Triathlon is a solo sport–TNT people need to learn to get dressed by themselves. clm in sf who doesn’t think quite as highly as Bill of the TNT people — Cathy Morgan San Francisco, CA REMOVE ZZ ZZ to e-mail me.
