Zion, Ill
Question:
In Cleveland you should try the Cleveland Clinic. I don’t know about Zion IL. Before you buy.
Response:
The only facility I’ve heard about in Zion (besides normal hospitals) is a Cancer Treatment Center of America. There may be something else there since I’ve moved away, though. But, I’d be willing to bet if there *was* some kind of great IBD place there, Rebecca would have an appointment already. <g Chris (who spent Thanksgiving back home and is surly about having to leave!)
Response:
LOL! You are right about that one Chris! There is a wonderful doctor at the University of Chicago if that helps anyone (Dr. Stephan Hanauer). Rebecca
who is VERY sad she missed Chris on her Thanksgiving break and hopes she can see her over Christmas

Response:
Just exactly were or what are these specialist hospitals I keep hearing about in Cleveland, Oh or Zion, Ill. I have had CD since 79, was in remission for over 8 years and now back very active, "upgraded" to severe status by my GI doc. Need some info in a hurry. Thanks in advance for all your help. Bart
Response:
Bart, why don’t you think about doing something else besides drs and drugs. There are other answers you know. I used nutrition. It’s a better alternative. Bonnie

Response:
The hospital in Cleveland is the Cleveland Clinic. They are known for being exceptional in treating CD. However I have been in remission for 16 months without having to go there.I live in Massachusetts and am lucky to have a wonderful Gastrointerologist. It depends on the quality of your Doctors, Medication and a lot of luck. I am on 6MP Asacol and Prilosec. Diagnosed May 1999 at age 53 after having CD for 7 months without going to a doctor.Almost died. Have Colonoscopy yearly.Only real problem now is I am severely overweight after weighing 129 pounds at the height of my illness last year. Regards: Steve — Steve, Cheryl and Shawna
