I have recently been diagnosed with a ‘Prolactinoma’ on my pituitary gland.  The doctors have prescribed a drug called ‘Parlodel’ or ‘Bromocryptene’.  This drug has some side effects that suck. Does any one know of any alternative treatments for this?

        Herbal teas which have been used to dry up or decrease milk supplys may be helpful, Sage (salvia) tea or caps is one of them, I’ll have to look through my notes and find a list.  Sharon Rust

Sorry to the first question, but you can sometimes get about the GI side effects of Parlodel by splitting the dose more finely in the day, and taking a larger dose at night juuuust before you fall asleep.                                              Steve Harris, M.D.
