Good news!
Question:
All my tests are back and looking good. The blood tests for calcium levels were normal and the x-rays showed no erosion so I’ve opted out of a bone scan at present.I don’t want more exposure to isotopes and scans than necessary. The back pain I have is at the site of an old injury and subsequent surgery so given these test results I feel OK with that decision. The liver function tests were also fine. Thanks to everyone for your support and encouragement. It’s been a long 2 weeks! Hugs Rachel
Response:

Response:
Hi All, That’s the aim anyway , but he seemed pretty optomistic "in my case" that I would respond to the hormone treatment . He also said that if not .. we could try Femara.
Mazza, I’m thrilled for you and drinking a cup of hot chocolate to your good health. Marilyn
Response:
Thats wonderful news Mazza, I am thrilled. You must be feeling over the moon. Hugs Jo
– Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Hi All, Saw the ONC today. Apparantly my levels HAD come down on the last test result! They had come down a bit after the 4 weeks of Taxotere , and then came down more with the 3 weeks of Epirubicin and Taxotere. From 800 to 600 … well its a start. The liver ones came down too. He feels sure that the Tamoxifen which I am now on , will either hold the cancer , or even better bring the levels down even more . I told him that I felt happier now , and that I thought he had just put me on ’some placebo’ That’s the aim anyway , but he seemed pretty optomistic "in my case" that I would respond to the hormone treatment . He also said that if not .. we could try Femara. I have to have blood tests and see him again in a month. Cross your fingers ! Luv Mazza xxx
