extrahepatic bile duct cancer
Question:
Looking for any sources of alternative treatment for a non-resectable case.
Response:
I am also looking for treatment options for a fellow support group member in Ottawa who is looking for east Coast experts in bile duct cancer. Any information would be appreciated especially names of experts in the field. Thanks John Proctor

Response:
My tumor was just outside the bile duct in the duodenum and the surgeon used an adaptation of the Whipple procedure. I’m not a doctor, but it was a very extensive 9 hour surgery and left me with some hoses in my stomach for feeding, etc. a loss of weight, short depression from losing control of my body, and a long recovery. Five years later and I’m doing fine. Thank God!
