Bye bye, Gillighan!

Categories: Cancer Treatment

Question:

P.S.: Medias here had it first that he died of cancer. Then he died of a (drastic) cancer treatment. And tis morning, on my way to work, they said he died during a quadruple bypass. Sounds like this often when they want to hide what they really died of…or just wanna keep it "private".  =?windows-1252?Q?Ghost_Walker=99?= – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -(night-ri…@Cookieshaw.ca) writes: > Eleonore Beaudoin wrote: >> Bob Denver, the actor who played Gilligan on Gillighan’s Island, passed away. >> He was 70 and died from a cancer treatment. >> Thanks for the childhood giggles! >> Hope your life had many too! > what a shock it was to hear of his passing, > my folks and i shared alot of laughs watching gilligans island. > if it was’nt for gilligan, the show would have had a short life, > but because of gilligan screwing up their rescue attemps, the show went > on for 2 or 3 seasons ;) > ghost >> —

what a shock it was to hear of his passing, my folks and i shared alot of laughs watching gilligans island. if it was’nt for gilligan, the show would have had a short life, but because of gilligan screwing up their rescue attemps, the show went on for 2 or 3 seasons ;) ghost – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -> —

I dunno how many seasons…all episodes were a bit like the other…But as a kid, it gave me somethign to watch on the three tv channels we had in the countryside (they did nto install cable there). We had CBC French and English (sate tv) and "channel 13" which had American stuff on it. Most kids donlt have a clue what it is like to have only 23 channels on the tv, and to be stuck most of the time picking between a National Filmboard boring like mad documentary at the time,or the news (oh yuk, kids hate that -and some adults too;-)- and of course, Canadian hockey, where you only had one tv per home, too, and had to clench your teeth when "dad" wanted to watch hockey while for once in a bluemoon, there was somethign really good on the other channel;-) But Gillighan played early enough for us kids to see it before dad woudl roder the tv off and everyone to go play outdoors, then to have supper then do homeworks…Then watch whatever HE felt liek watching, with bedtime at 8:30….Gngnngn. Only way to cheat in that bedtime was to rptend you loved okay, as my younger sisters found out. I did too, but woudl crash alseep before 8:30, so boring it was…  >  > ghost >> —
