New Anti-Cancer therapy for Dogs

Categories: Cancer Therapy

Question:

Recently a new therapy, similar to one used for humans, for Lymphoma in dogs has been developed. The treatment consists of vaccinating the dog with its own cancer cells, inducing an anti-cancer immune response. This treatment in conjunction with chemotherapy (but far fewer doses than normal therapy) could greatly extend the life of the afflicted dog. Currently there are two centers where this therapy is being administered. On the west coast:      Veterinary Specialty Hospital of San Diego                 P.O.
