There’s a normal cycle whereby blood flow is greater on one side of the nose for several hours, and then on the other. With the increased blood flow comes increased congestion. Many people don’t notice this cycle. But if your nasal passageways are already small–due to anatomy (the way you were built), tissue congestion (e.g., allergies), injury (e.g., deviated septum), then when one side becomes more congested from the increased blood flow, it may ne noticeable. The pressure sensation is a common symptom of sinus congestion. Sometimes the pain changes with head movement (e.g., bending over). As a starting point, you might want to try a long-acting decongestant (e.g., sustained release pseudoephedrine 120 mg) in the morning or afternoon, if it agrees with you. Jeff

I am 26 yrs old and have always had difficulty breathing through both nostrils simultaneously. It seems that either one nostril is working and the other isn’t and it switches throughout the day and night.     Just recently, I started to get a pressure like feeling above my eyes in the vicinity of the upper sinuses. It seems to begin bothering me in the afternoon and gets increasingly stornger at night. When I wake up, I don’t really feel the symptoms. I show no evidence of having a cold but feel this building pressure just above the eyes. I am guessing that it is some type of sinus dysfunction. Has anybody had any similar experience? Thanks -Ben bmart…@san.rr.com

I have the same symptoms.  However, I just discovered a lump on my right testicle.  Been doing research and it could explain why my sinuses and neck area hurt.  If I do have TC, the cancer could have spread there.  My lower and upper molars hurt under pressure….my neck pain could be from damaged root nerves.  God I hope so.  Let everyone know soon… – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -Ben Martin wrote in message <35B7ED87.7F97F…@san.rr.com>… >    I am 26 yrs old and have always had difficulty breathing through >both >nostrils simultaneously.
