Speaking of cats, I saw a news item a couple of days ago that said children exposed to cats are more likely to get rheumatoid arthritis, and (I think) other autoimmune diseases in adulthood.  This was the result of some research, but the rest is lost in the mental fog.   Carmel "Eliz." wrote: > Isn’t there a name for that? Andy, I am sooooo very sorry that Jennie was upset by **anybody** in this newsgroup.  And I am somewhat ashamed of myself for lowering myself to his level and posting replies to his utter nonsense and inaccuracies.  I hoope you, Jennie, and Pam will forgive us all for our contributions to this disaster.  I would not do anything to upset either Jennie or Pam.  And I know others feel the same way.  But we all are guilty of feeding this sick man’s ego. Nice tactic, but it will not go unchallenged.  Name some utter nonsense and inaccuracies…  come on, we are all waiting for you to back up your statement.  And yes you should be ashamed of yourself.  For being a lier.  I hoope > you, Jennie, and Pam will forgive us all for our contributions to this > disaster.  I would not do anything to upset either Jennie or Pam. Oh brother.  If this lady is so immature and emotionally unbalanced than maybe she shouldnt be reading the opinions of adults who just possibly may hold a differing view point.  She is not an 8yr old kid for gods sake, she is an adult.  I seriously doubt she wants to be treated like a 12yr old for the rest of her life.  (cant say the same for some others though.) Looks who’s teetering constantly between polls of manic-depressive episodic nature, you. Donn

I am not really sure what your insult has to do with my treating adults like adults and not like some hysterical 10 year old girl has to do with anything. Rob Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/

Aw Gaylan, Luv!  Dunna be down on yerself!  Nor should anyone else be. I gave Rob fuel for his fire too.  I’d forgotten that he’d been here before, pulling similar crap, creating dissention and making himself feel better at the expense of others.   Granted, not so long ago I would have gladly hacked off his testes (providing he had any) with a dull knife, sans anesthesia, and stuffed them up his nose.  But I asked "The Man Upstairs" to forgive me my thoughts.  Apparently He did, cuz they’re pretty much gone. And I’ve put Rob in my prayers … that he might find peace and not hurt anyone else in the process. Love ya, Hon! P. It ain’t worth it Donn, Darlin’.  (Hmmm.  So *that’s* what a "darlin’" is! <g>). Rob’s been teetering for years.  Everytime he gets near the edge, he seems to come back here to try and make waves. Oddly enough, this very group pulled him back from the edge not so very long ago.  He was not only manic, but suicidal then.  Or so he claimed. Put him in killfile and pray for him when you’ve got a spare moment. Works for me. Love ya Donn! P. Sweet Lady, sometimes a man’s gotta do what man’s gotta do. But a man should have fun doin’ it. Does this manic-depressive (with overtones of dillusional manifestations) have MS? Donn

Response:

Hi Donn! << Does this manic-depressive (with overtones of dillusional manifestations) have MS? >> You know, I have wondered the same thing myself.  I have heard of people joining NGs and pretending to have the disease just to get attention. Someone in another NG related the story of a woman in a cancer support group who turned out: not to have cancer and not to be a woman!  People got suspicious because "her" stories about treatments and symptoms just did not ring true.  How they found this out, I don’t remember. Some were obvious, others took longer.  They’re on *every support (and probably other type) group around.  Usually lonely, or somehow angry people who need to "belong"…and yes (dare I use the dreaded word…uh, yeah…)  *genuine* hypochondriacs on several/many disease support groups…   This medium provides them the opportunity and anonymity that face-to-face groups would not! Sad, really… Judith
