Fighting MS and winning

Question:

HVIAL Whoever you are. How dare you call us suckers.  For many of us, the vitamins and diet regime really work.  I am sorry you are so pessimistic about life.

I can’t believe you are so determined that good nutrition cannot help your symptoms, It is common sense. You are rude and do not have the facts

You are rude and do not have the facts And I can’t believe that you think all humans need the same diet to stay fit. Have you never heard of folks with different metabolisms? You cannot define good nutrition for any individual without doing a lot of lab work on them. BiNM

No, its not a fairy tale…have plenty of history with MS over 10 years worth, Tried Betaseron, IV drip, prednisone, baclofen, ammantadine, etc. nothing brought back the feeling in my hand or my eyesight or my balance till now. So sorry but the sucker here would be the non-believer.  I’ve never seen such a group of mad and hateful people with MS…be glad you don’t have cancer, there are worse diseases out there. — Linda "Natural Recovery" e-mail group, msl…@erols.com My story = http://www.2cowherd.net/q/linda Kaire ordering info available upon request or on-line at http://www.2cowherd.net/q/kaire.htm   ****************************************************   *  Never miss an opportunity to make others happy, *   *   even if you have to leave them alone to do it! *   ****************************************************

You got the anger thingy all bent here. It seems you are angry cause they aint bying your garbage. Telling them that there are worse diseases out there is like my asking if your folks had any kids that lived. MOGG

Good point on your part, and bad comment on mine.  Guess I take peoples opinions too personally.   Only thought the vitamins and such might make a difference in some people with MS (I understand that MS is different in everyone and wouldn’t want to assume that it would work for everyone but it couldn’t hurt to try since there really isn’t a negative side effect to good nutrition).    In answer to your comment, yeah I have two healthy brothers with less mouth/type than me!! (Every family has one(a mouthy kid), guess I just got to be it and in this case only I’m way passed the kid stage in age) Linda "Natural Recovery" e-mail group, msl…@erols.com My story = http://www.2cowherd.net/q/linda Kaire ordering info available upon request or on-line at http://www.2cowherd.net/q/kaire.htm   ****************************************************   *  Never miss an opportunity to make others happy, *   *   even if you have to leave them alone to do it! *   ****************************************************

My encounter with MS, I first noticed a problem back in 1986 while dining out one evening.  The left side of my face became numb.  I made a doctors appointment and by that time my legs had started tingling.  I pushed my doctor to send me to a neurologist.  He tested me for everything and everything came back negative, until the spinal tap showed I had MS.  This was a heartbreaking discovery.  The worse possible thing I had been tested for was what I had.  I was 27 and extremely scared that I would progress to a wheelchair and not be able to continue my life as I had planned.  I had just gotten married in 1985 and we had been planning on having children until the doctor suggested I wait a few years and see what direction my MS was going to head.  I had also just started a new job as a computer programmer.   I waited two years and it was decided that I had RR and could go ahead and have a baby as long as I understood that one day I might not be able to keep up with the child or even do the things children like to do.  Six months after having my daughter, I had the worse attack I had ever had.  I lost control of my right arm and feeling in my right hand.  This attack also included the tight band around my mid section and effected my balance.  This attack lasted 8 months, I had trouble changing diapers with my left hand, couldn t write with my right hand, had to cut my hair off since I had so much trouble trying to do everything left handed.  My programming slowed since my right hand wouldn t type correctly.  After 8 months, I regained control of my right hand however the feeling in that hand did not return.   Currently I have no symptoms of MS.  I have had all residual damage go completely away.  I credit all of my return to normal to a man named Dave who placed a diet for MS out on a Web site.  I was browsing around the Web, searching on the words Multiple Sclerosis and came across a diet that had taken a man with MS from the wheelchair back to 100% normal and riding a bike up to 40 miles a day.  I decided the vitamins/minerals/antioxidants were worth trying and went out and purchased everything.  This was August 14, 1996 on August 16, 1996 the alarm went off and I rolled over in bed to wake Mark (my husband) for work, my RIGHT hand touched his underwear and I could feel the texture of the fabric.  I immediately went to get some change from my purse and I could distinguish between coins without looking at my hand.  I had feeling for the first time in 5 years!!  I felt like a kid does on Christmas morning, you know the Christmas where Santa brought you the exact toy you had been dreaming of?  I cried, I was so happy, just remembering that day as I type this brings back so many feelings.  I ve never had a more miraculous thing happen. The vitamins/minerals/antioxidants I take three times a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner) are : 40 mg Pycnogenol (Kaire Brand) 1000mg Omega-3(fish oil) 400iu Vitamin E 1000mg Vitamin C 25,000 Beta Carotene 30 mg Grape Seed extract 30mgCoQ10 80mg Bilberry Cod liver oil capsule  Once a day I take a multi vitamin/mineral capsule. Right before bed I take 500mg of magnesium.  The pycnogenol amount is determined by weight, 1.4 mg s per 1lb of body weight. I currently have no symptoms of MS, I have my eyesight (which had residual damage due to repeated bouts of ON) return to my eyesight of preMS days.  My balance has returned.  I can run, skip, do cartwheels (something I have been unable to do since my daughter was born back in 1990).  I can reach into my purse with my right hand and know what I am touching without even looking!  I can go out into the heat, I can live like a person without MS but with the knowledge and appreciation of how being healthy is the greatest wealth a person can obtain next to the love of a spouse and child. This is OPPORTUNITY KNOCKING, take a look at the diet at http://www.2cowherd.net/q/ and think about the results you could achieve by trying!!!  GOOD LUCK!!!
