{{{{{{{Kili}}}}}}} I wish I had some good advice for you. Just breathe slowly in and out and see if that helps. Di

quicker. Next will be the stomach churning, heart beating fast and shaking. Dang it! Why am I so nervous????? My appointment is at 10:00 am, US EST, 3 hours away. I’ll let you know how it went. :-/ kili

– The charter is available at: http://readystump.algebra.com/~asapm

Response:

Thanks, Vashti. I wish I could do laundry (we really need to) but I don’t have a washer or dryer. :~)

Aw, you can come and borrow mine any time(I’m in The Netherlands<g) and join me in playing "find the matching sock"! This appointment, actually, is very important, that’s the thing. If I they determine that I’m truly mentally "unstable" (although my husband could and would back that up), I may be able to qualify for medicaid – this appt. is the deciding factor. If I qualify, I can finally take meds to help control the anxiety. Not only that, I will hopefully be able to get treatment for my cancer. This is a two-fold appointment for me and extremely critical.

It seems likely to me that *if* the doc didn’t give the kind of results you need you’d have a chance of contesting it… but in this case, heck, it may prove my case! "What if my stomach goes off?" "What if I get the shakes?" "What if I get the sweats?" "What if I throw up?" In a way, I SHOULD exhibit those symptoms!

Put like that: go panic at this Pdoc! Seriously though: he’s likely seen it all so whatever happens it shouldn’t come as a surprise to him and it’s not as if he’s someone you’ll need to see regularly, right? I *have* panicked at a Pdoc and my own doc and have to say it did show these people what was troubling me better than the cheerful, "I’m fine" face I normally try to put on. Brought better results too. I dunno, I’m just scared, nervous, anxious and I want to stay home and stare at the computer screen.

{{{Kili}}} I know the feeling! Once you’ve been to this appointment promise yourself some time for yourself, maybe to do something you enjoy even if it is just watching tv, ok? — Vashti — The charter is available at: http://readystump.algebra.com/~asapm

BAN DIHYDROGEN MONOXIDE! THE INVISIBLE KILLER Dihydrogen monoxide is colorless, odorless, tasteless, and kills uncounted thousands of people every year. Most of these deaths are caused by accidental inhalation of DHMO, but the dangers of dihydrogen monoxide do not end there. Prolonged exposure to its solid form causes severe tissue damage. Symptoms of DHMO ingestion can include excessive sweating and urination, and possibly a bloated feeling, nausea, vomiting and body electrolyte imbalance. For those who have become dependent, DHMO withdrawal means certain death. Dihydrogen monoxide: * is also known as hydric acid, and is the major component of acid rain. * contributes to the "greenhouse effect." * may cause severe burns. * contributes to the erosion of our natural landscape. * accelerates corrosion and rusting of many metals. * may cause electrical failures and decreased effectiveness of automobile brakes. * has been found in excised tumors of terminal cancer patients. CONTAMINATION IS REACHING EPIDEMIC PROPORTIONS! Quantities of dihydrogen monoxide have been found in almost every stream, lake, and reservoir in America today. But the pollution is global, and the contaminant has even been found in Antarctic ice. In the midwest alone DHMO has caused millions of dollars of property damage. Despite the danger, dihydrogen monoxide is often used: * as an industrial solvent and coolant. * in nuclear power plants. * in the production of styrofoam. * as a fire retardant. * in many forms of cruel animal research. * in the distribution of pesticides. Even after washing, produce remains contaminated by this chemical. * as an additive in certain "junk-foods" and other food products. Companies dump waste DHMO into rivers and the ocean, and nothing can be done to stop them because this practice is still legal. The impact on wildlife is extreme, and we cannot afford to ignore it any longer! THE HORROR MUST BE STOPPED! The American government has refused to ban the production, distribution, or use of this damaging chemical due to its "importance to the economic health of this nation." In fact, the navy and other military organizations are conducting experiments with DHMO, and designing multi-billion dollar devices to control and utilize it during warfare situations. Hundreds of military research facilities receive tons of it through a highly sophisticated underground distribution network. Many store large quantities for later use. IT’S NOT TOO LATE! Act NOW to prevent further contamination. Find out more about this dangerous chemical. What you don’t know CAN hurt you and others throughout the world.
For a few million dollars I will, with your permission, lead a research project into molecular research to go where no man has gone to find the answers….(just kidding) There are some good sources…yogurt, especially Ativa, just added to the market… Acidophilus can be bought in many stores today…some with a special outside shell to preserve some of the bacteria through the system… Again what I would suggest are simple facts, that most of use either ignore or are not made aware of …. 1. Garlic, ginger drink, some stomach bitters, (part of the Italian diet, chinese diets ie ginger drinks or teas… 2. Fiber…especially Kellogs Bran buds…high in psyllium, per ounce twice as strong as other fibers… 3. Probiotics….ie yogurt…. Just ordinary everyday items that will improve the efficiency of ‘your engine’…

Response:

Mr. Squitti: I have no doubt that you have nothing but good intentions in trying to inform. I commend you for that. There are some things that really are very (as I’m sure you are well aware) specific to the individual. Microbes of all sorts are identified daily, cultured and compared as to their sensitivity to various anti-microbial drugs – many patients ARE helped by this laboratory/pharmacy endeavor. And yes, sometime antimicrobials are over-used, messing up flora and causing all sorts of problems. The only thing that I’d actually endorse on a fairly global level would be to drink enough water. Even that is quite variable; people with renal disease can sometimes only consume a quart of free water in a 24 hour period, and let’s not forget those with congestive heart failure – practically defines the term "common problem". My point has been, and still is that some people are not capable of looking into things (for a variety of reasons) to the same degree that you may be capable of. Some might jump right on the idea of taking Erythromycin, or consuming a high-fiber diet, when that might not be the best thing for *them* to do. In particular, E-Mycin competes as a substrate for the CYP450 liver enzymes. Many of the drugs commonly used by psychiatry patients are metabolized in that fashion, via CYP450 (simple boiled-down version..) particularly a number of the SSRI drugs. I would like to hear what you think of probiotics, and which ones you feel are the most "effective" and why, as well as practical sources for obtaining them. G

Response:

Corrupting the body’s engine – Intestional Flora Bacterial or Parasitic infections. (Causing chemical imbalances) "You are not only what you eat, but more importantly what you digest." On a larger macro scale it is like corrupt individuals ie cult-feminists corrupting social programs dealing with abuse to further polarize the sexes and breakdown the family, rather than making the problem go away. The expected problem solver, is in fact the problem, because of corruption, like the homosexual pedofile priests who preyed on little boys or radical cult feminists promoting their anti-male agenda’s, corrupting human philosophy and logic to become parasites themselves. This is an important distinction, eating foods and absorbing and processing the essential chemicals required for proper human body functioning requires ‘processing’, and that involves a healthy intestinal system or intestinal flora. Link: http://tuberose.com/Intestinal_Flora.html The intestinal microflora are important for maturation of the immune system, the development of normal intestinal morphology and in order to maintain a chronic and immunologically balanced inflammatory response. The microflora reinforce the barrier function of the intestinal mucosa, helping in the prevention of the attachment of pathogenic microorganisms and the entry of allergens. 1. In the last century ulcers were believed to be psychosomatic. Years later it was discovered that a bacterial infection was responsible. 2. Crohns’ Disease is an intestinal problem In the year 2006 many doctors are still unaware that in the year 2004, "The Lancelet" an English Medical Journal announced that some scientists had discovered a bacterial connection. 3. Conclusion is that todays science is not effective in discovering the core problems of these diseases a bacteria or parasitic cause. The symptoms of a ‘parasitic’ infection can vary depending on the types, you can have more than one, depending on the person, and where the infection takes place. Symptoms that include cancer, IBS, Crohns, Collitus, Depression, Anxiety, Anemia, Schizophrenia, and a whole host of more… Treatments: 1. A wide spectrum antibiotic, ie erthomycin. (An old wide spectrum anti-biotic) A wide assortment of herbal products found in your drug store, as an anti-parasitic. 2. Cleanser. High fiber, the best is psyllium. 3. Probiotic Friendly bacteria, that can be found in enriched yogurts or pill form at your drugstores. There are inexpensive herbals alternative found at your foodstore…like garlic, ginger, bran and psyllium cereals, ie Kellogs Bran Buds, and probiotics in the form of simple Yogurt. There are also items to ignore like Cola’s and processed foods. Take some time and research ‘parasites’ on the net….

Your symptoms are VERY common and I hope your doctor warned you ahead of time. The common expectation is for some weeks (even months) of "burning and urgency" while urinating. The reason you urinate so often is that your bladder and prostate are somewhat swollen and inflamed (therefore the discomfort) and you can’t empty your bladder fully enough. Therefore you have to keep going (the urgency). This is called urine retention. (I know about it because I have it.) Keep an eye on it and keep your doctor informed. If you continue not to be able to empty your bladder your Dr. might recommend self-catheterizing. Hopefully you are taking an anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen. No need for antibiotics unless there is also an infection. I myself have had nine months of severe urine retention, self-cathing, and unending severe pain. So consider yourself fortunate that your side-effects aren’t more severe. Richard – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Hi. I received the radiation seed implants 2 on January 8th 2006. Here is my current update with questions. 1.. Questions: Has anyone who received seed implants and had similar symptoms? Is there any medication or antibiotics that will help relieve the pain? Thanks. TC

Yeah, I had blood in my urine one day, quite a lot, called doctor, went in and gave urine sample, of course, no visible, to me, blood. Dr gave presc. for antibiotic, and sulfa drug (which changed urine to bright apricot color) for week. said possible a seed had shifted, whatever, I take plavix so any bleeding results in a lot of blood. j.

Tom, I had Pd-103 seeds in June 04, the retention, urgency and burning seemed to peak around 6-8 weeks then began to subside and gradually dissapear. If you had I-125 seeds it’s going to last a little longer due to the longer half life (Pd-103 – 17 days and I-125 -51 days. I can’t comment on the ejaculation as I had been on Lupron for 6 mos. prior and 6 mos. after seeding. Wish you the best. Tom

I had HDR brachytherapy, where they plant each seed for just seconds at a time. However I did have two of your three symptoms. 1. Urination. It took me about 5 months to get off Flowmax and more or less back to normal. In the meantime, I kept a urinal by my bed and one in the car in case of emergencies. 3. Ejaculations. I had explosions of pain with ejaculation. I was never sure if it was caused by the radiation, or by garden variety prostatitis, perhaps exacerbated by the radiation. I had this after the radiation, then it went away after a couple of months (IIRC), then I got it again a year later for another few months, which is why I thought it might be prostatitis. I went to a general practitioner for the prostatitis and she insisted on my trying a course of antibiotics, although I was dubious. The antibiotics upset my stomach and did who knows what else to my system, but did nothing for the pain. Then I started taking saw palmetto. The problem gradually went away after a couple of months. Did the saw palmetto do it? Or did it just go away on its own? I have no way of knowing which. You might try saw palmetto and see if it helps. I’ve been taking it for about a year now with no recurrence of the pain. There is a widespread rumor that saw palmetto reduces PSA and so shouldn’t be taken by cancer patients because it might mask a cancer recurrence. I tried to research this on Pubmed and found three articles that measured PSA before and after saw palmetto was taken – usually with other supplements as well. They found no effect on PSA. So I think it probably does not reduce PSA to mask recurrence. But, standard disclaimer, I’m not a doctor. Medical advice from me may not be worth anything. Alan

Hi Tom, I had seed implants about 10 months ago and everything is nearly as it was before seeding. I assume you are taking Flomax which should decrease urinary hesitancy and urgency. The slight burning when urinating should soon go away. I never had severe pain during ejaculation. Initally I had unusual feeling orgasms but never really painful. After about 3 months they were teriffic again. One trick that worked for me is when I had the urge to urinate, I would tell myself that I really didn’t have to go. Then I would get busy to take my mind off my bladder. Things will keep improving with time. Good luck, Woody

Response:

Coffee/caffeine caused my 1st hospitalization. However, they never asked about coffee. They even had free coffee in the locked unit. I had an employer that offered free coffee to the employees. I was drinking about 10 cups per day. It took about 3 weeks to make me paranoid and confused. Now that I am older I recognize that 2 cups of coffee is too much. With meds I can handle one cup of coffee. I find it is better to skip coffee and use 60mg pseudo ephedrine for getting laundry done. It seems more stimulating with less side effects than coffee. "philip" <phili…@yahoo.com> wrote in message

Yes, of course I have experienced this often as for the last fifteen years I have abused coffee. I need a good dose of meds to stay stable. Mark Vonnegut identified coffee as a problem for us in his book the Eden Express. I do lots of things right, vitamins, no booze or street drugs, fish oil via tuna sandwiches but remain a coffee drinker sometimes having 8 pots a day. "philip" <phili…@yahoo.com> wrote in message

Coffee is intense. I love the taste but I don’t drink it. Rarely, rarely. I drink a cup of black tea every day. Once in awhile 2, but rarely. I’ve noticed with any tea/coffee that I drink, that I seem to want more and more over a period of weeks, like I get a tolerance. I really don’t think they should give caffeinated beverages to kids. I was addicted to coke/pepsi for awhile. I have never tried speed, and I never will. I first started drinking coffee at junior college to have energy, etc., to do homework. What a mess. I found that with the tea, recently, that I kept wanting more, more. First 1 teabag, then in a few weeks 2 teabags, etc…Until, 3 didn’t seem like enough, and I was so wound up tho, that I wouldn’t get any thing done…I think caffeine is the kind of thing that is enjoyable, but sometimes. But I drink a bag each morning, and then I microwave, and boil it so that I get every last bit out of it. I used my will to stop using more. Also, to save a little money. The box of 100 teabags from safeway lasts a long time when you are only having 1 a day. I wonder if coffee doesn’t have the bad affects because of something else. Aren’t the coffee beans like ‘burnt’? That I think makes them carcinogenic. I read of studies where people who eat alot of burnt/ barbecued food have more cancer. Anyway, I do like the stimulating affect of tea, and chocolate, etc. My sweetie has been drinking *alot* of chamomile teas because he no longer drinks alcohol at all. ANYWAY, those are my thoughts on coffee. I like it but it makes me feel wrong. Also, one big thing with coffee is that I always always have a big "come down" from it…Where, like I need to sleep 2 days straight to recover once I have my "up" times. I don’t know how people who drink tonz of it all the time avoid that. Any thoughts?

I find coffee gives me unpleasant migraine-like symptoms and makes the psuedo-like visual hallucinations intensify. I also find my thoughts start to race and get all messed up with inserted(?) thoughts and breaks in the thought patterns which make me forget the previous line of thought and leaves me wondering around absent-mindedly trying to figure out what I’ve just done. Strangely enough it doesn’t seem to happen with Decaf or Tea, Coke, Chocolate, etc. > Voices in my head come > out and I get a bit of paranoia.
Voices in my head aren’t something that plague me so much these days but have come to taunt me quite a few times in the past and paranoia I don’t think I have a problem with (how would I know?). I had thought about abstaining from caffeine for a little while but, like alcohol, I guess it’s difficult; will power being a scarce commodity to me.
Yeah I’ve noticed that caffeine can be harmful. We have one of those automatic bunn machines at work and there are always a couple of pots available. I try to drink no more than a couple of small cups every hour or two. When I get jittery I know I’ve overdone it. Coffee can have a hell of a lot of caffeine. A coke or pepsi 12 ounce has like 35 to 40 mg. Even Mello Yello and Mountain Dew have about 50 to 55 mg max. But a 6 oz cup of coffee can have 100 mg in it. I hear darker roasts typically have less caffeine. I don’t like the taste of decaf myself. But you could mix 50/50 caf/decaf and make your own half caf. Caffeine in high doses can cause panic attacks. It can be a powerful stimulant. I’ve seen some tests of X tablets and several contain high dose caffeine along with the other stuff. In general, sz’s seem to smoke more and drink more coffee than the general population. Michael

Dear Buther Boy: Caffeine causes some creatures a tremendous problem. We have a veterinarian living here at this pentecostal rooming house I am living in now. He understands my problem with caffeine. American medical doctors never admitted that they knew about my problem with caffeine, as veterinarians do. Caffeine acts like strychnine in cats, dogs, lions & tigers & bears, and in me. Caffeine is my Archilles Heel! If I have as much as a chocolate chip, I’m in excruciating pain from muscle cramps and spasms. A cup of coffee would have been fatal without hospital attention, with the respiratory paralysis. The pain is so bad you don’t notice not breathing. I hate to admit it, but it is a vulnerability, like Superman’s kryptonite! I feel tottally alienated from this ugly culture, but, there are others like me: Cro Magnon people; and we are assembling against Homo Sapien tyranny. Check out http://groups.yahoo.com/group/alchemy61/ . Those "stock coders" I can now admit with glee are actually our allies coding against Homo Sapien tyranny, and there’s nothing the "pigs" can do about it. I can flaunt it in their Homo Sapien faces with revengeful satisfaction. For, our differences we have been labled "schizophrenic", but we are rising up and using our advantageous differences to overthrow Homo Sapien tyranny. When the "Old Ones" soon return we will rule Earth again, and probably earn our evil karma back all over agian by "setting things straight" (getting even), as we have done, over and over again. We do evil karma, get it back, get even for it, and get it back again, forever; and so don’t THEY in giving our evil karma back to us.
IMHO in a typical scheezer part of the brain is over stimulated and part of the brain is understimulated. The overstimulated part goes to positive symptoms, the understimulated part goes to negative symptoms. Thus, caffeine should help with negative symptoms (now you do the laundry) until it overstimulates the positive symptoms (now you do no laundry because you are getting secret messages from the TV set). Thus, if I use caffeine, I balance it against a depressant. For me, the depressant is Klonopin. To get a mix of stimulant and depressant that acts in the right way probably requires experimentation. If the caffeine mainly acts on the positive symptoms and the depressant acts mainly on the negative symptoms, you end up much worse that you would have been. Each person needs their own formula…. "peacepipe" <mmfu…@yahoo.com> wrote in message

The most powerful change method every created Yep that is quite a claim! Read more and give us a change to back it up First off, let me apologize for not telling you more about the 3-D Mind Practitioner’s seminar coming up this August. If you already know that you want to sign up just go to the end of this e-mail to the link to the signup page for the August 3 -D Mind Practitioner’s training. Second, let me give you the reason I have been so bad that promoting this seminar. We have spent lots of time sending e-mail to people on our various lists helping them improve their lives. We have spent lots of time improving our products and our web site in order to teach more people all over the world about the 3-D Mind. While other people are busy trying to promote seminars about the same old stuff and just putting a shiny new package on it, we have been developing the most powerful personal change method ever put together. Yes that is quite a claim for us to make! There have been so many developments in the 3-D Mind in the past year that they are hard to keep up with. The only way that we can actually teach everything that has been developed in the past several years in the 3-D Mind is to hold a three-day practitioner’s training. The 3-D Mind is the most powerful and yet most easy-to-understand method for personal change ever developed. I tell you this for two important reasons: 1. I say this because if we do not tell you about the success of the 3-D Mind model that you will never know about the success it has generated. As a result you will never learn all the extraordinary things that you will be able to do and that you will be able to achieve. 2. I tell you this because you may not know how different we are then all the "gurus" out there trying to teach you ways to improve their lives. Believe me, the "gurus" out there know about our success-a great many of them don’t want YOU to know because you’ll find out what we do is successful and in many cases completely contradicts what they teach. Here comes there nearly useless and almost always wrong advice others will tell you and my opinion of it: 1. Examine your past to find out WHERE your problem started… Sure I suppose it’s always a good idea to really get you lost in the emotions of your past before trying to make any advancement in changing where you are now. The past is irrelevant trivia. It will bore me if you try to tell me about it. 2. When you find the problem reprogram your mind like it was a computer with no emotions or choice.. Right, cut off all conscious resources that would actually make you become more flexible and have more choices on a conscious level. Absolutely ridiculous advice. 3. Learn a complex linguistic model to try to force your brain to think differently or get in a deep enough trance in your life will magically change.. I guess you could spend a year or so try to learn how to speak in a certain way that is totally unnatural and only affects the linguistic centers of the brain. It’s like getting a flat tire and just revving the engine higher to make the car move anyway. 4. If you don’t learn the skills that you obviously need to come to the next level seminar so you can finally figure out what the REAL SECRET is.. Maybe after three or four levels of seminars you can finally start getting results or run out of money in which case all of your problems will then be solved. 5. Now for the ultimate in ridiculous. You don’t need to practice. You don’t need to know what’s going on. You don’t need to understand. All you need is to buy my newest product or come to my next level of seminars and we will install all the skills you need and your unconscious mind .That’s great if you want to be a lifetime follower. I keep hearing of the same people going to the same seminar over and over and over for a period of years. They want to have the "experience". 6. Use positive thinking or endless affirmations to overpower your problems…Sure being positive is a good idea but when reality challenges you pretend beliefs they will shatter. Pretend beliefs are just that, pretend. Hey, laugh all you want but this is what the personal change gurus will tell you time and time again. The funny thing is all they care about is getting you to spend more of your dough on their programs. Fork over the money and they promise that you will eventually feel better or understand the skills. Here are the kinds of things that they DON’T want you to see: "I lifted over 6 1/2 years worth of depression in only 10 minutes the day after receiving my 3D Mind tapes! I had seen counselors at school, been to a couple of trainings in 1999 & 2000, and even turned to religion but NOTHING STUCK for the long term." I received the 3D Mind tapes on Monday, March 7, 2005 and cleared up my 6 1/2 year depression on either Tuesday or Wednesday in only 10 minutes" Ash gator_…@yahoo.com I promised Tom that I’d update him and I want to let him and the group know that because of the objectivity I have gained from using 3-d mind I was able to find some alternative sources of therapy to balance my body. I want to report that I feel healed and I have been totally off my prescription for a month. Before I was stuck taking toxic medication that really didn’t help heal me. It was only like a band aid fixing the outward symptoms of this disease. Further, the drugs had some nasty side effects. If there was an occasion where I couldn’t take it I’d run the risk of literally bleeding to death!! THIS WAS A SERIOUS PHYSICAL AILMENT THAT SCARED THE SHIT OUT OF ME AND CAST A DARK CLOUD ON MY FUTURE. 3-D mind somehow opened some new pathways up in my brain and allowed me to think in new beneficial ways. I can’t begin to use language to describe just how much this has changed my life. I instead am using a much less expensive natural "probiotic nutritional supplement" that is working better than the drugs were and is actually good for my body with no side effects. I definitely attribute this to being in Hawaii and learning 3-D Mind back in November of 2003. I just don’t think that I’d have been able to "step outside" of my illness otherwise and look for new ways of fixing it. I didn’t know just how "stuck" I was. Rick carlosrodrig…@aol.com Hi, I got my tapes less than 2 weeks. I’d been reading the essential skills group posts and had heard how great they were. So despite originally wanting to find an NLP hypnotherapist to help me with my severe phobia I thought I’d give 3D Mind a go first. The following morning I got to work 20 mins early and walked around the canal near the office. Previously I’ve walked 40 mins out of my way to avoid crossing the bridges, previously I wouldn’t have given the bridges a second’s thought as I WOULD NOT have even contemplated crossing them. Just to seriously think about perhaps crossing the bridge would have put my stress at 20 out of 10 (shaking, crying, hyperventilating). On this day as I approached the bridge, I felt like the eyes of the world were on me I climbed the steps, crossed and climbed down on the other side, my stress rating was 6 out of 10. WOW!!!! from 20/10 just thinking about it to 6/10 in doing it. So I then went and did the other two bridges. The Millenium Bridge over the Thames is next on my hit list… But thank you so much for helping me uncover my bridge skill. Claire claire.white…@btopenworld.com I am really satisfied with the 3-D Mind. I have worked with the 3-D Mind for half a year now. For me it’s the GREATEST "masterwork", piece of art that is around in the personal change work field. It is not a fraction of the hundreds of videos or audio CDs I have. I am feeling person and this is the first change tool that has ever worked for me. Philip phi…@datacomm.ch Hi Tom I used the 3D Mind on a client, she feared a hospital appointment with suspected cancer. Did 3d mind on her fear and worry , it took 5 minds to do and that was 10 months ago, she said to me last week that, she did not know what I did but she had no fear or worry about it even now. She is clear by the way. Great stuff 3d mind. Regards Dez sellars Natural choice healing clinic http://www.completemindtherapy.com Hey Tom, Just wanted to say how impressed I was with the 3d mind video – what a brilliant model you and Kim have developed! Well done for thinking so differently. When everyone else was playing with rep systems and submodalities, you guys chunked down in another way – to driver states. It’s a great model and I think it definitely leaves a lot of the previous NLP tools in the dust. Well done and keep up the great work. All the best, Michael Norman Mich…@ReferralMagicEbook.com P.S. What impressed me even more than your model is that you’re obviously people who genuinely care about people. You deserve all the good stuff that comes your way! And these are not even 1% of the testimonials that we have received. Up until now self help books and personal change work have been manipulating behaviors and beliefs by trying to overpower them, endlessly examine them, or reprogram them in order to make changes in people. The 3D Mind ™ changes things from the totally opposite side of the equation. Instead of behaviors and beliefs being the core of the change, the 3D Mind ™ is turning NLP and hypnosis upside down with one simple premise. Behaviors and beliefs are constructed of the cluster of associated states. By looking at this structure we have been able to make some very powerful long-lasting changes in just a few short minutes. This is totally reversed from the theory that beliefs and behaviors are what get you into unproductive states. They are the symptoms of problems not problems themselves. So you don’t have to bang away at someone’s core beliefs and values to get a permanent powerful change. You don’t have to make them feel bad about what they are doing now and feel good ONLY if they make the … read more »

20,000 volts should do it. If you want to tell someone what you think of them then first you should walk a mile in their shoes. X-ray simply will not show more than a shape, but ultrasound and CT can give much better information. When my Clifford (RB) was showing some symptoms in the stomach, we diagnosed it with something less invasive than surgery: endoscopy. In this procedure, under general anesthesia, a tube is passed from the mouth into the stomach. This tube is equipped with a fiber optics viewing system, so they can actually look at the mass. Further, they can get a biopsy of it, which usually will need to be sent out to a special lab. In Clifford’s case, what had been feared to be lymphoma turned out to be a simple inflammation, treatable by medication. I don’t want to give false home — you may be lucky as we were, but, as Tweed says, it may well be a tumor. Further, if it is a tumor, it’s not necessarily cancerous. The biopsy is essential to tell.
Without further diagnostics, it’s hard to say whether or not the abnormality can be removed. Ultrasound would certainly be an option. A cyst or tumor could at least be verified with exploratory surgery. With normal blood work, it sounds as if anesthesia could be tolerated at least for a quick look-see. Best of luck. -Sharon

Howard, Thanks for your input. I am located right outside Fort Worth, TX.

Here are some possibilities. Dr. Kevin Hahn is one of the best-known veterinary oncologists, with a website at http://www.gcvs.com/oncology/pwc/index.htm At one point, he would give some advice by email. It might be a good idea to get a DFW recommendation from him. I did find a reputable listing for: Dr. Cheryl Harris Veterinary Oncology & Internal Medicine Clinic Dallas 972-431-9499 but don’t have any direct knowledge. These may be more in human medicine, but another diagnostic technique that is minimally invasive is an ultrasound-guided needle biopsy of the tumor. I’m not saying it is or is not cancerous. Indeed, it might not even be a true tumor, but a cyst — which would be a good thing. There is, I’m afraid, a fair chance it is cancerous, and one of the more common abdominal tumors is lymphoma. There are some treatments. With my own Clifford (RB), who had bladder cancer, there were some supportive measures that improved his comfort, and had some effect on the tumor, while we were trying to get him in condition for chemotherapy. I suspect that this type of therapy, using prednisone and a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agent, might help. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – The blood work didnt turn anything up – He is healthy in that regard. The X-Ray showed a softball size mass inside his abdomen. Someone had asked what the color the liquid was that they drained from him – it was tea color. They said there are specialists that could attempt to remove the growth, but it sounded pretty risky. This is a bummer. I didn’t post before because I didn’t want to say that fluid where it shouldn’t be is often caused by a tumour. Purrs that you decide whatever is best for you both. I’m so sorry it isn’t better news. You might like to get a second opinion at another vet surgery who can provide an ultrasound scan before you make your decision as to what to do. Tweed <– been there recently myself Agreed. Diagnosis is imperative, and it’s not clear your vet is up to it. May I ask where you are geographically? It really seems like you need to go to a veterinary referral center. Good luck to both of you. I know how worried you must be.

Cytological studies of the fluid might be informative, and an endoscopy could be in his future. I’m mystified by the emphasis on X-rays.

yeh, that’s what I was thinking – the vet may be working in a smaller clinic without access to ultrasound, etc. I wonder if it might not be time for a referral to a specialist – or just a better equipped vet for a second opinion. — Steve Touchstone, faithful servant of Sammy, Little Bit and Spot with loving memories of Rocky (RB) Home Page: http://www.sirinet.net/~stouchst/index.html Cat Pix: http://www.sirinet.net/~stouchst/animals.html

The lab bloodwork didnt reveal the cause. They want to X-Ray him again (3rd time), this time after they have drained the fluid, to get an unobstructed view to see whats going on.

Again, I’d ask hard questions on why not ultrasound, with the fluid present, rather than X-ray. Remember that X-ray basically shows what is blocked by hard objects like bone, or, indeed foreign bodies in the stomach. It will show shadows of the stomach, especially how it displaces the ribs. Ultrasound actualy uses the fluids to form the image. CT (and, for that matter, MRI) also can image soft tissue and fluid as well as bone. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Lab bloodwork ought to reveal a lot. I dont know, I guess I can ask the Vet. What color and consistency was the fluid? My cat is approx. 16 years old, recently his belly has swollen up.
Blood work is indeed appropriate, probably starting with a Comprehensive Metabolic Panel and a Complete Blood Count. An analysis of the fluid drained is also important. I’m bothered by repeat X-rays. X-rays only give a limited amount of information about abdominal problems. He should have either ultrasound or a CT scan. Ultrasound is relatively inexpensive.

Response:

I’m very glad that your heart is okay, but don’t think that "stress" isn’t serious too. It doesn’t sound like much – sort of a "pull yourself together" illness like some people think depression is. It isn’t. It can cause all sorts of physical symptoms that you would never imagine it could and it lowers your immune system. I was diagnosed with it in January 04. My mother died suddenly in Jan 03, I struggled to cope with that and at the same time I was having difficulty with my sight. I started to get bullied at work by a manager because my performance fell. Her sadist tendencies showed when she reduced all my help from colleagues and gave me an unachievable workload. BTW, this is what bully bosses often do, set you up to fail. Stress, in the clinical sense, is very serious. I got through it with Prozac and ongoing counselling. I was about to finish the counselling when all this last thing happened. I’m lucky, because the counselling is provided by the Employee Welfare Service where I work, it has cost me nothing. Except having needed it, of course which is a big price to pay I was ambivalent at first about having a male counsellor. Let me say right now that I should never have doubted him. He has been more than wonderful and is very aware of feminine issues, and it does matter that you don’t get this bloke–woman thing, I could fancy you and lets.. It was Simon who told me – when I was creeping around in pain on one of his visits – that I really should see a doctor. So I did, and the rest is history. It was Simon who came to see me in hospital the first time, when I was having tests and my prognosis was poor, who turned away so I would not see his tears. I did see them, however, and asked him about it. He said "I don’t think I will *ever* advise a client of mine to go to the doctor if this is going to be the outcome." I said "You may just have saved my life." He visited me in hospital after my operation. He took me in his car from my aunt’s place to be in my beloved home again with my cats (10 miles out of his way) when I was homesick for it all and couldn’t drive. He came on Wednesday this week. We had a lot to discuss about what is going on with the cancer and stuff and we covered all that. He said "I am so glad I brought you home, I was touched by how pleased you were to be home and see your cats again." Awww. What a lovely man. Tweed

This sounds like a good idea just to be safe. I understand it’s not uncommon for people to have episodes of a racing heartrate, mild chest pains, etc and by the time they have an EKG done in the office their symptoms are gone and nothing shows up on the EKG. Lots of times symptoms like that aren’t indicative of anything serious (my sister had a couple of episodes of a racing heartrate and it turned out to be nothing to worry about), but it’s always better to get it checked out and if necessary wear one of those Holter monitors for a day or two to catch one of the events so the doctors can have a better idea of what’s going on.
They use that term at my vet as well. One of the cats who was up for adoption there a while back used to like to knead on people and it made him so happy he would drool a little while he was doing it. They called that "making biscuits and gravy". I haven’t seen him recently; I’m sure he was adopted. He was a sweetie. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Jill — I used to have a handle on life…but it broke off.

He OK’d going to one every other day, so I tried it. Only slight decrease in ability to start the urine flow, but the dizziness is gone and I can function normally.

Paul, It’s my understanding that any alpha blocker can cause dizziness, I take a different one for BP with the same benefit of flomax, and take it in the evening to avoid dizzines when I’m up and about. Tom

– Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – I got hold of my local urologist yesterday and he said that my blood pressure isn’t low enough to explain my dizziness, but that Flomax can cause dizziness for other reasons. He OK’d going to one every other day, so I tried it. Only slight decrease in ability to start the urine flow, but the dizziness is gone and I can function normally.

Hi Paul, I had seeds a year ago (June 2004). Preceded by 5 weeks of EBRT (April May timeframe). I was traveling frequently during that period, even between the EBRT’s and seeds and again immediately after the seeds. I wore a pad for insurance but never needed it. As for the fatigue, in my case, it would be intermittent. I was on two-a-day Flomax for about the first three months and am still on one-a-day. I try to wean myself off it but notice a deterioration by the next day and have to go back. Doc says don’t worry about it – it’s a safe drug. A lot is going on in your body right now and you are bound to have some side affects. Just rest when you have to. Remember, you’ve had several radioactive seeds placed in your body and they’re doing their thing. You won’t have the same level of energy for a while so you have to learn to pace yourself until this has a chance to pass. Also, eat healthy foods that are easy to digest. i.e. my staple for breakfast is blueberries and soy milk. I usually get the most tired after eating. But then, I’m also on Zoladex and that carries its own baggage. Good luck, Larry

– Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – I didn’t pay much attention to the handouts I got before my brachytherapy warning that radiation treatments can cause dizziness and weakness because they seemed to be generally intended for all kinds of cancer patients who wouldn’t have such localized, targeted radiation. It’s been nine days since the implant, and I hadn’t really noticed anything like that until today, when I climbed a flight of stairs in an art gallery and got hit with sudden fatigue and dizziness. It’s been about an hour, and I feel pretty much the same. Has anyone else gone through this? Can I expect intermittent spells, or a steady period of fatigue? I have important travel scheduled for next week and hope this won’t wreck my trip.

I was already on Flomax before the brachytherapy for enlarged prostate. My doctor says I’ll probably be on it permanently. At first my insurance insisted on my trying Hytrin instead, and I almost fainted a few times and got permssion to switch to Flomax, which produced no noticeable side-effects at first and greatly improved my stream.

My brachytherapy was on May 9. I experienced the same thing. The urologist put me on Uroxatral. After several days I became extremely weary and stopped taking it. In a couple of days I was fine. Went back to see him and he informed me I probably had a touch of the flu and that I should never discontinue medication until speaking to a doctor. When home and after a few days, unknown to my wife I thought I would take it again. Same symptoms came back, weariness and a time or two I thought I would pass out. The last time my wife’s BP tester was on the end table. I tested and was 113 over 65, much lower than normal for me. The following day I went to see my GP. Told his nurse how bad I was feeling. She looked at my meds and say,"Do you know you are taking two prescriptions that are Cardura?" I said I didn’t take Cardura. She said, yes you are. The doctor walked in and said, tell him. She had the prescription book open and showed what I was taking. He said to discontinue one. That was Wednesday. I discontinued the one the urologist prescribed. I feel better now. My BP is 148/80. My main problem is that I have to stay within minutes of a bathroom or restroom.

Geez, I missed that – you already said it had only been a few days. Depending on the type of seeds used, Iodine 125’s have a half life of approx. 59 days, you will feel the greatest effects from seeding during the first half life. My husband used to refer to it as a "war going on inside of him" and he was aware of it. The seeds are killing cells and your body is fighting the seeds. The seeds will win! But in the meantime you are going to know it. Chemically your body goes into a defense mode not unlike what it might do to fight a germ warfare with the common cold or other bug. The best thing you can do is just take care of yourself. Eat well and get some extra sleep at night. Unless you were in great physical shape going into the seeding I’d suggest you not attempt to scale Mount Rainier, or participate in the Ironman in the next few months. That doesn’t mean you can’t play 18 holes, have fun with your grandkids on the tennis court, or mow the lawn. Just be kind to yourself. Rest often. You’ve just had surgery. Yes, brachy is still a form of surgery! Give your body a chance. Bev

How long has it been since you had your implants? Fatigue is pretty common. Not the I can’t do anything type of fatigue but the I need to get an extra hour of sleep at night or a nap would be nice kind of fatigue. Are you on Hytrin or Flomax they can lower your BP and maybe a wee bit too much. Bev

Sorry , I missed this post. Most guys use the Flomax for a couple of weeks or a month or three. My husband was one who wound up using it for almost 2 years. Maybe you could try cutting your Flomax in half. My husband took his every morning and every night and he know when it wore off! If it is a business trip maybe you could delay it – if it is a fun trip go for it and don’t worry about anything! LOL Bev

Hi Paul, I experienced slight dizziness and some fatigue, but mine was caused from taking low blood pressure medications along with flomax which reduced my pressure too much. Since adjusting my blood pressure meds, I have had no more problems. If you are taking similar meds, you might want to check your blood pressure.
it is rare in relationship to the massive amount of drugs used, but it is still present and usually unrecognized by youngish docs who have not seen it-so it goes undiagnosed and the meds are continued causing irreversible damage. In some really sensitive people even tca meds can do this in particular imipramine since it is somewhat closely related to a phenothiazine moreso then its more refined relatives-I have seen one case of it ina hospitlized middle age female on 350mg a day for a few years-she was given cogentin back then and some valium-it just toned down her muscle jerking and mouth movements — The charter is available at: http://readystump.algebra.com/~asapm

I’ve had anxiety most of my life. Undiagnosed until 4 years ago when I took one levaquin antibiotic pill and wound up in the emergency room with uncontrollable anxiety. Some therapy, with a short round of xanax and then 25mg of zoloft made me a new man. i got rid of the xanax after a month and stuck with the zoloft at the smallest dose of 25mg. Virtually no anxiety for 4 years. even though I was on only 25mg of zoloft. I had tried weaning myself down to half a pill daily at times, but needed to go back to the full pill. I tried again these past few months, and it seemed to be working. about 2 weeks ago, **I got a littled worried about something right before bed, and when I tried to go to bed all of a sudden I felt the muscles in my arm shaking**

Worry (a cognition) often leads to anxiety (an emotion). . It’s been 2 weeks and now I’m shaking all over almost constantly, although it seems to be worse in the morning and when I wake in the middle of the night. It’s extremely scary. I immediately when back up to a pill and a half of zoloft (25 +12) for the past 2 weeks but it doesn’t seem to be doing anything. I have no other real symptoms other than feeling weak.

An adrenalin surge due to anxiety leads to increased energy at first, and then a weak feeling (in my experience) I don’t feel like I’m anxious, but I can’t stop this shaking feeling.

The first thought was that my thyroid medication I take was messed up since I had thyroid cancer when I was a teen some 20 years ago, but my thyroid tests came back normal. I don’t know whether this is anxiety or something else. I was wondering if anyone else ever had anxiety symptoms like this without any real cause of anxiety or even a feeling of anxiety. I’ve taken for granted how great it felt to be normal for the past 4 years.

It sounds like anxiety to me. I’d go on a benzo, say Xanax, for a few days, and see if the shaking and weak feelings go away. Chip — The charter is available at: http://readystump.algebra.com/~asapm

On the one hand I may need to push for all kinds of neuro tests, but on the other hand I might need to push for a different anxiety therapy. I’ve taken for granted how great it felt to be normal for the past 4 years. It sounds like anxiety to me. I’d go on a benzo, say Xanax, for a few days, and see if the shaking and weak feelings go away. Chip

good point about the shaking—I see the word and just jolt (shake and bake) to see if an ssri us used and jump on the td issue-it may just be anxiety in which case adding a benzo would most likely do the trick as well as increasing the ssri since any change in affect may take a few weeks to observe — The charter is available at: http://readystump.algebra.com/~asapm

It’s possible that your shaking is *not* anxiety, but a side-effect of your antidepressant. I know that Paxil causes this side-effect in me. HZ – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – I’ve had anxiety most of my life. I tried again these past few months, and it seemed to be working. about 2 weeks ago, I got a littled worried about something right before bed, and when I tried to go to bed all of a sudden I felt the muscles in my arm shaking. I don’t feel like I’m anxious, but I can’t stop this shaking feeling. Sometimes when I try to exercise it feels like my muscles are shaking, other times it just feels like this internal trembling that won’t stop. my doctor has no idea what to do. I have an increasing fear I could have something like ALS or MS, but I don’t know whether to push for another round of MRI’s and other tests or try more zoloft or a different sri or start XANAX again.
ssri meds can cause a neurological side effect that creates uncontrollable movement or shaking-it would be best if your doc weaned you off zoloft as quickly as he could-gave you some valium or klonopin while doing so and waited a few weeks to see if this remits levaquin is in a class of antibiotics that can cause anxiety reactions just so you know for future reference-this class includes cipro so it may be better to use another class of meds when needed — The charter is available at: http://readystump.algebra.com/~asapm
