Desperate and losing hope.
Question:
Sorry John I am not sure of your reasons for asking these questions but I don’t wish to answer them Robert Robert, I apologize for the so direct questions and for the intrusion but I guarantee you that I do have no interests to give you a consultation about your prayers other than the need
your "need" is unimportant to the posters here. to understand what is really going wrong with this prayers business. Now, if I can be of any help to Cathy or to any of you perhaps you should
how dare you tell Robert what he/they "should" do? cooperate a little more. I just happen to be in this NG by chance
So you don’t have cancer. and I am keeping myself subscribed to it for some time.

May I ask you the following? What religion is Cathy; Does Cathy have anything against anybody, specially her parents; Is she an obbedient woman; when she prays, does she pray with full faith that she will be healed. I would like to analyze this for my own purpose, and to help you if possible. You can reply to my e-mail address. No you don’t need to change your doctor.

I was merely giving my opinion……for what it’s worth. With your genuine effort to get information in your original posting I don’t believe that you needed someone to be bringing up the manner in which you replied.
Bob, You are probably using a threaded newsreader, so you had no trouble. Not everyone uses threaded newsreaders. Some newbies are not aware of the problems top posting creates for the reader, and it is appropriate for someone to bring it to their attention. J did nothing wrong by mentioning it to Robert. No person should feel offended for being advised of Usenet rules. It is standard Usenet etiquette to avoid top posting. Maybe this will explain it to you: "Please use good netiquette, trim quoted material (long messages) or unnecessary cross posting in your replies, and avoid top posting and SHOUTING. Don’t assume that your message will be read at the same time as the post you are replying to, and don’t assume that all readers will be using a threaded newsreader. By quoting the relevant parts of the message you are replying to, it provides a context for your reply. Your message will make more sense to readers if you reply below quoted text. This is true if the reader has not seen the post to which you are replying, or reads it out-of-order." Hello All, My darling partner Cathy has lymphoma (high grade). We had so much faith and hope. First the CHOP failed, then the radiation and now the stem cell transplant. The lymphoma is back after only six months and has been found in her stomach, lung and bone marrow. Cathy has had such strength throughout now is broken and lost. We have tried searching for clinical trials but nothing here in UK. The oncologist has given her oral Etoposide for seven days every month and will talk to us again this week to explain more as he didn’t want to overload us all in one go. We have great faith and confidence in this man but need to ask if anyone has any other ideas or better treatment in these circumstances. Thank you for your help and prayers. Robert
Robert, You and Cathy are in my prayers. Hang in there with her. We’re here for you, so please keep us posted. Best regards, Trish

Oral etoposide is as likely as anything else to get a response, and is very free from side-effects.

Good for yoiu, Robert ! <http://groups.google.com/groups?safe=images&ie=ISO-8859-1&as_uauthors… To all/any readers, not all questions posed here (by just anyone) need be answered. However, there are some (questions) that are necessary if we are to understand what type, grading/staging of cancer you (or your loved one) has. And perhaps a few other details. Robert Hi Robert, I forgot to mention in the other post that in clinical trials, some get the regular treatment (randomized) and some get the new treatment. And some specify "previously untreated". I’m very sorryn if I sent you on a "wild goose chase". I noticed that Steph didn’t reply to your posts (and I’m sure he reads them all). Sorry J forgot to mention I brought Cathy home Saturday afternoon. That’s why the oncologist prescribed the oral Etoposide 100mg rather than the I/V in hospital. Robert
