Books?

Categories: Cancer Support

Question:

Hi Y’all,    A good friend of mine was just diagnosed with cervical cancer after they discovered a large tumor during a pap smear. She is now in the hosptial awaiting radiation and chemo and whatever else. I was wondering what the best books are about this? Something positive and upbeat, maybe something dealing in complimentary and alternative medicine as well.  Thanks for your help…. Julee

Hi there, So sorry about your friend.  You should visit this web site: http://www.eyesontheprize.org for all sorts of information on cervical cancer (stories of survivors, FAQs, links, book recommendations, etc. etc. etc. – plus an e-mail discussion list!)  —–an award winning site and our FOCUS this month is on Cervical Cancer (this being Cervical Cancer Awareness Month).   I hope this helps.  You should do as much "homework" as possible beforehand so you will be able to make educated and informed decisions on the rest of her treatment options.
