Something worth Cheering and Pumping

Categories: Cancer Research

Question:

I have never met Paul Azinger but his return to his former abilities after his bout with cancer does inspire me. He is tied for the lead at the St. Jude in Memphis today. Five years ago he had major cancer treatment. This kind of recovery and courage is why it is worth to enjoy vicariously sports and other "mythical" figures. Like I said I don’t know Azinger but he plays a real person on the Tour. Mitch Alderman

Response:

Couldn’t agree with you more. Zinger has always seemed to be a class act. It sure would be fitting for him to break through with a win at the St. Jude – which benefits a children’s cancer research hospital, in case anyone doesn’t know. What a hero he would be to al lot of the kids there. BTW, after today he’s just 2 off the lead – tied for 4th at -8. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – I have never met Paul Azinger but his return to his former abilities after his bout with cancer does inspire me.
