Bovine Cartilage, Any Info?
Question:
Steve, My dad’s been taking bovine since he stopped chemo last Feb (1995). He’s in remission from bile duct cancer – something his oncologist did not expect. The NCI says 5% of bile duct cancer patients make it to 5 years. His cancer returned Aug, 94 (extensive mets to his liver). He had six treatments of chemo and has taken bovine cartilage, chlorella, soy protein powder, milk thistle and other vitamins since. Only complaint is his arthritis! He gets his from a pharmacy in NJ (via mail) that gives a 20% discount to cancer patients. I think it works out to be $137 with shipping & handling. I’ve also just started giving it to my dog – she has a connective-tissue cancer on her rib cage. I haven’t seen any shrinkage yet (3 weeks), but Dr. Prudden says if you don’t see response within 4 months then it’s not going to happen and you can stop taking it. Debbe Halavik
