When All Else Fails
Question:
When the doctors fail to give hope for the long term future people open up possibilities for themselves by turning to a variey of alternative treatments. Aromatherapy, Faith Healing, Eating regimes, etc etc. All to some extent contain a good helping of mind over matter, the level of belief in the success of the treatment can certainly play an important role in the success or failure of it. The same is true of medical intervention…why do some respond and other not? So to what extent does the ‘mind set’ of the patient play a role in remission, if you look at the work of Dr Carl Simonton and Dr Bernie Seigel it appears it is a great deal. I am a hypnotherapist located in Surrey, England and currently talking to the Royal Marsden hospital about setting up a pilot scheme to look at the use of Hypnosis with Cancer…there are many possibilities. If anybody is located near me and interested in working with me (whether you are attached to the RM or not) I would be happy to hear from you. It is difficult to put a note like this into the group without appearing to be ‘touting for business’, truely I am not, I wish only the make the point that the RM are looking into the possibility of using hypnosis alongside their other alternative treatments and that I am available should anybody like to contact me. Best of all luck to everybody.
