update on Cousette

Categories: Cancer Hospital

Question:

I am wondering, did anyone think of taking this Cat to the Vet before all this happened? It sounds to me like this is either a troll post or it actually happened? If it did, then shame on the owner for not calling the vet or having the poor Cat brought in to one. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – i wanted to thank all of you who wrote to me when i posted about needing help with a very sick kitty.  Cousette had dropped her weight to 4  1/2 lbs, and was very sick.  she always sounded like she was on her last breath, but she was born that way, had been the runt. i thought she had been doing better, she had an appitite, but she stopped jumping down from my bed, to use cat box, i had to carry her. she seemed content to just lay next to me.  i should explain, i’m on a hospital bed in my family room, the computer is butted right next to the bed, from an autoaccident/ now from cancer. yucky stuff.  anyway she would just stay by my side. last night she started to vomit some dark gunk, about the same color as the diaherrea.  all over the bed.  she looked soooo bad.  we went to the vet, she was down to 4 lbs.  so we became adults, and did what we had to do. as i said my last good bye, she locked eyes with me, her beautiful blue eyes, slightly crossed, and seemed to be telling me that it was time to let her go. she was right. i think i will keep her picture up on my website (i design jewelry) along with other pets we have.  she was literally one half siamese, her face was really one half siamese, one half beige. she was loved, and will be missed.

Pat, I’m so sorry about Cousette.  You tried everything that you could, but realized what had to be done and loved her enough to let her go.  Remember the good times you had together and I have a feeling she’ll never be far from your heart.  I too had a "runt" that didn’t live long enough and Pinky (RB 1990) is always in my thoughts.  They are the special ones you never forget. And Red Wolf – you really should check facts before crying "Troll".  Do a dejanews search if you don’t know anything about the original post. i’d be happy to answer you, i am a real type person, not a troll.  (don’t live under a bridge waiting for billy goats either) Cousette was brought in to our vet about one month ago, was there for several days, on iv drugs and had many tests.  the final bill for her totalled $645.00  i would have paid double that if she could have been saved.   i tended to her had feeding when necessary, (got a bad bite as well, that abcessed when i held the cheese i was feeding to her )  when she was starting to get her apetite back.   dispite all the extra feedings, small frequent meals she had lost another 1/2 lb.   i even crocheted a sweater for her to cover one leg and her neck/chest from being shaved.  she in turn turmed it into a belt. guess she didn’t like the color! i’m sorry that you feel we were not responsible cat owners.  i can’t change your opinion.   however i know how much was done to save her, and feel content that we did all we could as soon as we could. pat moses-caudel http://members.aol.com/wildpoppy1/index.html    (her picture is in this set of pages. )

i just wanted too offer condolancsce on the loss pf your baby, and to say what an unselfish person you are to not let her suffer, to let go hurts, but that is far better than the guilt that selfishness would bring under these conditions, You are in my prayers.
