I don't believe they even HAVE a plan to end homelessness!

Categories: Cancer Hospital

Question:

If I am up to speed on this, my plan for today is to go catch a bus downtown, and attend the Homeless Veteran’s Christmas Party being given by the Division of Military and Veteran’s affairs. It will be good to meet up with some of my old friends. Taking the mini bus from the Vet Office up to the hospital brought a lot of us to "speaking terms" with each other. I remember Mr White. A very profound older gentleman who slept under a juniper bush there off to the side og the Office entrance. He wound up living with his daughter so I suspect he is "safe" these days.   Entertainment is by the Entertainment group I worked with during the Christmas 2000 season. They went completely theatrical and sing with a kareoke machine these days and have no place for guitar player anymore. What will happen is that the mini buses owned by various veteran groups will run out to the welfare motels and pick up the single mothers with their tribes of children and bring them down to the hall so they can see the show and eat. The place will look more like a daycare service then a place for veterans who failed to sucessfully re-intergrate into society. However a few of us "failures" will be there. No man is a failure who has friends. Thats what Clarence, the Angel, says in "A Wonderful Life". Besides which, I don’t feel much like a failure. And friends can sometimes become paper thin. The victory or loss however is not something that can be lost or gained from the outside. They can never have that part of you. Not unless you give it away.   No. They don’t have that victory. They can’t have it. They are working within a dillusion that tells them they won. I have not lost. All else can be lost or taken. But not that. Yeah plan to go see a few other struggling vets, eat good , see a christmas show, stay back from the mob of behavioral problem kids actting like animals and their num num pregnent again Moms, get my free watch cap and maybe gloves as a Christmas present from some Democrat politician’s good graces. They don’t want us to die from exposure. We got the mid twenties these nights. Might break 40 degrees in the day. Might not get out of the thirties. Timmy is a veteran. A terminal cancer patient down the street took him in for the cold months so he no longer stays in the cardboard camp along side of the U.S. 1 He’d be dead otherwise. Although previously he did have his eye on an abanoned railroad car down by the Canal for the cold months. Tim is a member of The North Trenton Derigible Works. Bye. Damo

Oh, my God. Is that how America deals with homelessness? I saw one yesterday. Wanted to give him something. Saw him the day before too. on the same square.
