Has anyone come across an alternative method for treating this extremely unusal cancer form ? Thanks in advance for any reply.

– All cancers, of any origin or type that are truly malignant (showing expression of Beta- human chorionic gonadotropin) are arrested by pancreatic enzyme therapy. It does not matter what area of the body they are in, if there is a blood or lymph supply, these enzymes are surveilant, passing the blood-brain area, suffusing the fluids of the lungs, spinal chord, all interstitial fluids. In most people tested, even those without cancer, these enzymes are often found inhibited or deficient. In the cancer patient, the inhibition is catastrophic, due to specific anti-trypsin inhibitors (serpins) expressed by the cancer cells. These enzymes are the first line of action of the immune system. Unless the cancer sialomucin coatings are digested, the immune bodies can not approach them, as both the cancer membrane and the white blood cells are electro-negative. The peri-cellular sialoglycoproteins of cancer cells are appropriate substrates for cleavage by the serine pancreatic proteases and amylase. You should contact a practicing metabolic MD. (snip blather, er, reply from Roger Cathey) We have recently treated a patient with this disease at our facility. Has the patient consulted with a Radiation Oncologist yet? Kathy

Alternative to what? The usual treatment giving best cure rates for most esthesioneuroblastomas is surgery followed by radiation therapy. Surgery is a craniofacial approach by a combined neurosurgery/otolaryngology team. The staging system for this tumor (and therefore treatment and prognosis) is heavily influenced by whether there has been intracranial and/or intradural spread. — Randall L.
